Clinical

The key component of nursing education is clinical practice. It involves putting all the academic knowledge from classrooms into practical use. Through continuous clinical experiences, our students are able to have a good understanding of the functioning of a hospital. Clinical sessions are supervised by trained medical professionals.

MMHRC is one of the largest Nursing College in Bangalore that provides world-class medical treatment to all people alike and has served more than 9 lakh patients. Hostel

Sacred Hearts Institution hostel offers comfortable stay for the students within the campus during their course of study. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and each room is provided with adequate facilities for stay and study. The hostel has a Visitors’ Lounge, Recreation Hall, Study Hall, Prayer Hall facilities for Indoor Games, Magazines Reading and Television. Mess facilities are available with a well maintained dining hall adjacent to the hostel and preparing multi cuisines Vegetarian/ Non-Vegetarian meals hygienically and served aesthetically.

Library

The Sacred Hearts Institution library aims at providing access to its printed resources such as books and journals as well as electronic journals and online databases primarily for the use of faculty and staff at Sacred Hearts Institution. Its holdings should reflect their interest largely. The library stock is increasing at a rate of approximately 1,000 books a year. The library also subscribes to over 100 current periodicals and to a range of electronic journals and databases. The library is supervised by a committee consisting of the librarian and three members from the faculty.

The day to day running of the library is conducted by the librarian who is assisted by the library staff and trainee. The library holdings will be checked annually by the library staff.

Our transportation service connects students to various locations, including Bangalore etc., which makes commuting simple and convenient for all.

It provides practical exposure to public health practices, including preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative care. The lab is equipped with models, charts, and teaching aids that help students understand community health assessment, family care, sanitation, and disease prevention. It prepares students to effectively work in rural and urban community settings, enhancing their ability to promote health awareness and provide holistic care beyond hospital environments.

The Obstetrics (OBJ) Laboratory is thoughtfully designed to provide hands-on training and practical exposure to students in maternal and neonatal care. The lab is equipped with advanced models, simulators, dummies, and detailed charts that demonstrate both normal and complicated labour processes. It enables students to understand real-life clinical scenarios, develop essential skills, and build confidence in handling childbirth procedures. The well-organized setup helps in clearing doubts, enhancing learning, and preparing students for professional clinical practice.
